Rates are great, but the furnature and decor is very dated. Carpets were very old and dirty and the electric fireplace was not working. HDTV was advertised, however they only have an analog signal going to them. I would reccomend if you are looking at something affordable but not suitable for a romantic getaway.
Comfy beds. Great continental breakfast. Nice and quiet location. Pool is small but ok.
First of all when we arrived they didn't have our reservation. Not a great way to start after driving 6 hours. We were there for a wedding and there were others in our group that the same thing happened. The guy checking us in was rude,and wasn't helpful with trying to resolve this issue at all. He didn't bother to tell us there were still rooms available! Finally we asked and he said yes there are other rooms available. One would think he would offer this info! Several in the group had booked 1st floor as they issues with traveling the stairs...and there's no elevator. But only 1 received there requests.Not much lighting in the rooms.And we had to get new room cards as ours stopped working!No apologies at all..they seemed as we were a bother to them. Not a place I would stay again.Positive things..beds were comfy, lots of hot water and breakfast was good.
Wifi speed is great!It's a two Star hotel, I get it. But the place is in shambles and no one who works there seems to care anymore. Carpets are disgusting, damaged furniture in the two rooms I saw. My Showerhead is snapped off its support inside the wall. When the room next door turns on their shower a loud 70db noise screams through the wall.At breakfast the eggs were burnt on to the serving tray. Asked the manager who happened to be in the room if they could get more eggs and he said there's still eggs in the tray.Seems like the place is primed for a Bar Rescue kind of reality show.
I was surprised to find out its only a two star hotel. I really liked it and the price was reasonable. Room was clean, had all necessary accessories, bed - comfortable. It has a beautiful terrace for breakfast right near the water; basic breakfast was included and we enjoyed it with a view. The hotel also has a swimming pool we didnt have a chance to try. As to things that could be improved: background noise of the equipment (the issue at many hotels in Canada), shower head.
